Floating on a Cloud: LiveTime’s New Cloud Deployment Features

LiveTime will soon be extending their cloud deployment options to enable Google App Engine, Amazon EC2, and Rackspace Cloud. The web-based ITIL 3 Service Management Platform will utilize HTML5 standards, require no browser plug-ins, no ActiveX components, and no client downloads. The SaaS platform also boasts a RESTful Web Services feature as its primary API for Web Service integrations.

LiveTime is a leading vendor of Web based ITIL 3 Service Management (ITSM) as well as Help Desk software. The new features of their cloud support will allow ITSM’s to include an Enterprise Service Desk option.

The new cloud deployment feature is exciting for LiveTime, as they are now able to extend into new cloud platforms as well as new storage engines. The new options will allow Managed Service Providers to offer an Enterprise Service Desk alone with other services to their customers. The application supports all major databases including: Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), Apache HBase (Hadoop), and Google Big Table.

LiveTime’s new platform boasts the ability to support 11 core ITIL 3 processes out-of-the-box and also includes a built-in search engine and Federated Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

LiveTime’s new software promises to lower service delivery costs while improving customer satisfaction and streamlining other operational processes.
